  • What is Wed&Wish?

    Wed&Wish is an online wedding and honeymoon registry. Couples use our services to register for any items or experiences they’d like to receive – assigning monetary amounts to each. Wedding guests can then purchase those from your registry; all gifts are transferred as cash directly into your PayPal account.

    Wed&Wish is ideal for couples who prefer to receive monetary gifts rather than physical gifts.

    When should we set up our wedding registry?

    Wed&Wish recommends setting up your wedding gift registry at least three months before your wedding day.


  • How safe is Wed&Wish to use?

    Wed&Wish is very safe because all purchase transactions are handled by PayPal, a world leader in online purchases. Unlike other cash wedding registry services, Wed&Wish does not aggregate payments or pool accounts. Also Wed&Wish does not keep any credit card or bank account information.


    When do I receive the gifts from my friends and family?

    Monetary wedding gifts from your friends and family are deposited directly into your PayPal account.  You have the benefit of using your wedding gifts as soon as they are processed by PayPal. In many cases, the transfer of funds takes only seconds.


  • Can I test my registry by buying a gift to myself?

    Unfortunately not. If PayPal detects that you are trying to buy a gift to yourself (either through your email address or IP address) the transaction will be declined.


    What forms of payment does PayPal accept?

    PayPal accepts a variety of payments, including all major credit cards. Please visit PayPal’s site for further information on accepted payments.


  • My wedding guests are scattered around the world. Can they still use Wed&Wish?

    Wed&Wish wedding registry service is available worldwide wherever PayPal is available.


  • What are the fees?

    Wed&Wish’s wedding registry services are free for couples. However, PayPal does charge a small and reasonable fee for receiving gifts. PayPal’s fees start at 2.9% + $0.30 USD per transaction, and may vary depending on the couple’s country of residence and the location of funding.     Wed&Wish charges a Service Fee to guests: USD $4.99 for sending wedding gifts under $150 and $9.99 for gifts of more than $150. These are comparable to gift wrapping or shipping costs charged on other sites.


  • What are the requirements to use Wed&Wish?

    In order to use Wed&Wish’s services you must:
    Link your PayPal account to your registry (Free). Open a PayPal account now if you don’t currently have one.
    Upgrade to PayPal Premier (Free). Read more

    Do my guests need a PayPal account?

    No, only the couple receiving the gifts needs a PayPal account. Wedding guests can pay for gifts using any major credit card or a PayPal account.


    How do I know what type of PayPal account I have?

    To find out what type of PayPal account you have, or if it is verified, follow these steps:
    Log in to your PayPal account.
    Click on “My Account” and then click “Overview”.
    Under “Welcome, Your Full Name”, you’ll see “Account Type” and “Status” (verified or unverified).


  • Can I bring my own images instead of using icons?

    Unfortunately, at this moment Wed&Wish only uses icons to represent online wedding registry items and experiences.


    Are my wedding guests buying a real/tangible gift?

    No. The icons wedding guests see on your wedding registry represent the gifts you would like to purchase with monetary gifts.  You will not receive a tangible gift from Wed&Wish or PayPal.  Wed&Wish simply facilitates the transfer of money from your wedding guests to your PayPal account.


    What happens if guests can't find my registry?

    Please make sure that your wedding registry is published first. If you are still having problems please contact our Customer Service team.


    How do I know what gifts I’ve gotten?

    Login to your account and go to “My Gifts” under the main menu.


    How do I withdraw my gifts?

    Since all wedding gift purchases are handled by PayPal, you’ll need to login to your PayPal account and go to “Withdraw” under the main menu. Then follow the onscreen instructions. Couples can transfer funds to their bank account. If they have a PayPal debit card, the funds can be used immediately by using that card.


    How do I delete My Registry

    Go to Registry Settings and select “Deactivate Account”.


    Do wedding guests receive a confirmation email after giving a gift?

    Yes, guests receive an email from PayPal once they’ve given a wedding gift through Wed&Wish.


  • Why won't PayPal take my credit card payment?

    If you already have a PayPal account you must use that as a form of payment. If you attempt to pay with a credit card (while having an open PayPal account) PayPal will always reject your payments.
    If you can't fulfill your wedding gift purchase on PayPal’s screen please contact our Customer Service team directly and we’ll be happy to assist you. In many cases it best to contact PayPal directly. Please give them a call at +1-888-221-1161 within the US or +1-402-935-2050 outside the US and let them know that you are trying to purchase on a website that takes PayPal payments but for some reason PayPal won't take your credit card.


    Do couples receive a record of what guests have gifted?

    Yes, PayPal provides a free and comprehensive record keeping service.


    Can I pay with a credit card?

    Yes you can! PayPal accepts credit cards from all major providers.
